Each prize consists of:
One (1) $500 CAD Hart Stores Gift Card.
Approximate retail value of each prize: $500 CAD.
Total approximate retail value of all prizes: $2,500 CAD.
Prizes must be accepted as awarded and may not be transferred, sold, substituted or redeemed for cash except where required by applicable law.
7. Odds of Winning
The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
8. Random Draw
On October 13, 2026, Hart will conduct a random draw from all eligible entries received.
Five (5) potential winners will be selected.
Hart may also select alternate potential winners in the event that a selected entrant does not satisfy the requirements of these Rules.
9. Skill-Testing Question
Before being declared a winner, each selected entrant must correctly answer, without assistance, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question provided by Hart.
Failure to correctly answer the question will result in forfeiture of eligibility for the prize, and another entrant may be selected.
10. Winner Notification
Potential winners will be contacted using the email address and/or telephone number provided on the entry form.
Participants are responsible for ensuring that the information submitted is complete and accurate.
A selected entrant may be required to confirm eligibility and sign a declaration of eligibility and release before being declared an official winner.
11. Identification and Prize Pickup
To protect participants and ensure that prizes are awarded to the correct individual, each winner must collect the prize in accordance with Hart's instructions.
At pickup, the winner must present a valid government-issued photo identification document.
The first and last name on the identification must correspond with the information submitted on the Contest entry form.
Hart may also require confirmation of:
- the telephone number submitted with the entry;
- the email address used to enter;
- the province and postal code submitted; and
- where reasonably necessary to verify eligibility, proof of residence.
The prize will not be released to another individual on behalf of the winner unless Hart has provided prior written authorization and such arrangement is permitted by applicable law.
12. 60-Day Prize Claim Period
After being confirmed as a winner and notified by Hart, the winner will have a maximum of sixty (60) calendar days from Hart's first notification to collect the prize in accordance with the instructions provided.
If the winner fails to collect the prize within the 60-day period, cannot be contacted, refuses the prize, fails to satisfy the eligibility requirements or otherwise fails to comply with these Rules, the winner will be deemed to have forfeited the prize.
Hart may then randomly select another eligible entrant from the remaining eligible entries.
The 60-day period is a deadline to claim the prize and is not an expiry date for the gift card. Once issued to the winner, the Hart Gift Card will not expire, subject to applicable law.
13. Verification and Disqualification
Hart reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any participant and may disqualify entries that are incomplete, fraudulent, falsified, duplicated, automated, late, misleading or otherwise contrary to these Rules.
