Returns & Refunds

 

OUR COMMITMENT TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS


We will attempt to issue a refund or exchange for any item purchased at any Hart, Hart Maison and Maison en Gros store upon presentation of the original receipt, credit or debit transaction receipt and point card used at the time of purchase.
Refunds for online orders are not issued in-store. The store will notify Customer Service who will process the refund within 5 business days.
If you do not have your receipt, we will offer to do a receipt search* and if we are unable to find the receipt, then you will be issued a gift card for the current value of the returned item (which may differ from the price you paid). The gift card can only be used at the store where it was issued. You must present identification when requesting a refund without a receipt.
In the event of a return to one of our stores, the store manager has the authority to make the final decision on all returns.

RETURN POLICY


Items in their original unopened packaging accompanied by a receipt and returned within 14 days of purchase will be subject to a refund or exchange applied to the original method of payment. Items that are opened, damaged, and/or not in resalable condition may not be eligible for a refund or exchange. Items subject to a modified return policy will be identified on the receipt or on hartstores.ca.
Valid photo identification may be required.

There are some exceptions to our return policy:

 

• Returns, exchanges or warranties on an item without a receipt may not be accepted.
• A defective item is subject to the manufacturer's warranty and will be repaired or replaced.
• Mattress returns will be processed under the manufacturer's warranty.
• Electronic items (home audio and video, personal audio and video, cameras and communication accessories) must be returned within 14 days. All other requirements apply.
• Electronic equipment (back-up cameras, Bluetooth, car audio, GPS, inverters, portable DVD players, remote controls) must be returned within 14 days of purchase. All other requirements apply.
• Ink cartridges, media and memory cards, books, DVDs, CDs, mattresses and portable beds can only be returned unopened. All other requirements apply.
• Bicycles cannot be returned unless unused.

 

NON-REFUNDABLE ITEMS


Certain items purchased at Hart, Hart Home and Maison en Gros are non-refundable and non-exchangeable:
• gift cards
• paint or stain, cut or modified items
• liquidation or final sale* items
• reusable economy bags

SALES OF THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE FINAL AND CANNOT BE RETURNED, EXCHANGED OR REFUNDED.
• For hygienic reasons, underwear (panties, bras, boxers, briefs) and swimwear.
• Personal care products (feminine care, hand and foot care), men's care, oral care, waxing for men and women.
• Pillows, mattress covers, sheets, sheet sets, pillowcases (unless in original, unopened packaging).
• Products cut to length or modified.
• Products with obvious signs of use
• Any item that is not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

What should I do if I want to return an item paid for with a HART gift card?


Keep your HART gift card until you are convinced you want to keep it. If you wish to return an item paid for with a Hart Gift Card, you may do so in-store and we will refund you on your Gift Card. If you've already discarded your Hart Gift Card, you can return your item in-store and an associate will reimburse you on a new gift card.

SALES OF THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE FINAL AND MAY NOT BE RETURNED, EXCHANGED OR REFUNDED. 

  • For hygienic reasons, underwear (panties, bras, boxers, briefs) and swimsuits.
  • Personal care items (feminine care, hands and feet), men’s grooming, oral care, men’s and women’s hair removal. 
  • Bedding items that are unpacked and/or appear to be used (pillows, mattress protectors, pillow covers, sheets and sheet sets, comforter, and quilts)
  • Products cut to length or modified.
  • Product with obvious signs of use.
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

WHERE TO RETURN ITEMS


You may return or exchange an item purchased in-store or online at any Hart, Hart Maison and Maison en Gros store within 14 days of the date of purchase.
Refunds for online orders are not issued in-store. The store will notify Customer Service who will process the refund within 5 business days.

IMPORTANT :
Items must be returned to a branch of the same banner. You cannot return an item purchased at hart to a Maison en Gros store and vice versa. Use the Store locator (hartstores.com) to find the store nearest you.

SHIPPING:

To return your product, you should mail it to the return address provided in the email following your refund request.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
